Capitol Park Hope VI Redevelopment
Location: Raleigh, NC
Capitol Park is a mixed use neighborhood adjacent to both Peace College and the NC State Government Complex. It represents a $30 million Hope VI Grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The grant funded the demolition of Halifax Court, a Public Housing Project built in 1947, and the construction of a New Urbanist development that mirrors the fabric of the contiguous Pilot Mill and Mordecai neighborhoods. JDavis provided both architecture, landscape architecture, and planning for the entirety of Capitol Park.
