Powerhouse Square

Location: Raleigh, NC

Powerhouse Square is an adaptive reuse of two National Historic Register structures built by Carolina Power & Light over seventy years ago. The project includes restaurants, offices and a structured parking deck space. The original Powerhouse Building was designed to house the restaurant Prime Only. The historic Garage Building accommodates offices on the upper level and a bar and restaurant on the lower level. A later vintage Service Building serves as office and retail space. The project also includes structured parking. Powerhouse Square won a Sir Walter Raleigh Award in 1999 and an Anthemion Award for Historic Preservation in 2000.
