The White Furniture project is an adaptive reuse/rehabilitation of a furniture mill in downtown Mebane, NC. The project consists of two buildings, the main factory building and the kiln building. The main factory building was built in phases starting in 1924 and is approximately 205,000 SF. The scope includes the addition of 157 apartment units to the main building, comprised of (12) Studios, (53) 1 bedroom, (82) 2 bedroom and (10) 3 bedroom loft style units. The site also includes an upholstery building that will be demolished and a boiler building that does not have plans for renovation at this time. The redevelopment will include the addition of a pool amenity.
