WHY JDAVIS?

JDAVIS connects communities through design by creating places that bring people, neighborhoods, cities and regions together.

It is our mission to build value and pass it on. We believe that we should build value for our clients,

ourselves and our communities; and that we have a responsibility to pass on our knowledge and

experience to those who come after us.

Our multi-disciplinary practice brings together professionals in architecture, landscape architecture,

planning, interior design and procurement management consulting.

We are leaders in urban infill developments, walkable neighborhoods and mixed-use projects. In all of

our work, we begin the process by addressing the scale of buildings, streets, neighborhoods and cities in order to deliver functional and sustainable solutions.

We believe that good design is about making connections between people and places, the natural

environment and the built environment.

Collaborative Atmosphere

Our design studios, in both Raleigh and Philadelphia, include collaboration areas throughout the studio

for members to meet and design with intention. Magnetic pin-ups boards, acrylic walls, white boards

and stand-up desks allow employees to move throughout the studios and bring ideas to one another informally.

Flexible Work Environment

It has become imperative to offer a flexible work environment today. We understand our employees are not just employees of the firm. Therefore, we offer a flexible work environment through virtual options, full-time studio hours, or the combination of both. We find ways to work together while striking the balance between work, family, and home.

 

Creativity is Encouraged

If you have an idea, we want to hear it. Our firm offers many ways to showcase your creativity and

talents. We have a constant rotation of events such as Design & Drinks, Lunch & Learns, Weekly Brain Breaks, and break-out Affinity groups where you can share your ideas with other members of the firm.

 

Pass it On

It is our mission to build value and pass it on. We believe that we should build value for our clients,

ourselves, and our communities; and that we have a responsibility to pass on our knowledge and

experience.

As a part of that mission, we have developed a way to give back to our local communities through our

‘Pass It On’ volunteer initiative. ‘Pass It On’ encourages employees to participate in local volunteer opportunities, charitable contributions, and local sponsorships.
